NHL Legends CBC Broadcast and Events

Allstar has been involved with the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks for many years, from the 40th annual Allstar game in Edmonton supplying Audio and Lighting at various venues, to Stanley Cup celebrations in Calgary and Edmonton, to supplying, programing, and installing background audio systems in the Pacific Coliseum and Rogers Arena in Vancouver, and all audio systems for Edmonton’s Rogers Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers. Allstar also supplied Audio systems at the Rogers outdoor plaza, as well as staging during the the NHL return to play quarantine bubble during the covid crisis.

CBC Television Broadcast of the NHL Legends at Rexall

Allstar provided Audio, Video and Lighting production for the CBC Legends of hockey national broadcast which took place at Rexall Place in Edmonton. The evening featured past and present NHL Players, Coaches, and Broadcasters. The stage was set as a dressing room scene typical of the NHL.

Audio equipment used included Meyer Sound, Midas, Yamaha, Shure, and Sennheiser products, Varilite, Martin, Strand and ETC products for lighting, and Barco, Panasonic, Sanyo, Draper and Folsom products for Video. Rigging systems and Electric hoists and truss systems we provided by allstar. All Technicians for these systems were provided by Allstar, IATSE, and Aquila. Our technicians worked along side CBC and Aquila for broadcast purposes.

Kinsmen Club of Edmonton – The Legends Experience

With proceeds raised going towards Kinsmen affiliated charities former Oiler and NHL Hall-of-Famer Mark Messier hosted the second annual legends experience dinner.

Allstar supplied sound, video, and lighting for the event at the Edmonton Expo Centre.
