Fort Edmonton Indigenous Peoples Experience
Fort Edmonton Park has won the prestigious THEA award for Outstanding Achievement (Heritage Center) for the Indigenous Peoples Experience. Allstar is proud to be the audiovisual integration company for this award-winning world-class project.
The Indigenous Peoples Experience at Fort Edmonton Park engages guests in Indigenous customs, and traditions and highlights the inspirational stories of First Nations and Métis people, who have resided on these lands for hundreds and thousands of years.
Project Overview
Allstar was responsible for the supply and implementation of the technical side of this project. Key products include Epson, Q-Sys, QSC, Medialon, and Dataton. Over the course of a one-year installation Allstar’s team installed and programmed a large-scale video
presentation system with state-of-the-art audio. The system is comprised of 10 Dataton Watchmax servers all controlled by
Watchout software utilizing multiple timelines and displays including virtual displays. The entire show script including
lighting cues and pre-sets is automated and controlled by a Medialon Show Controller. Everything from projector
blending to projection mapping and feature show, overlays, and other video movements are
programmed to run without interaction.
